Even as you hit the fast lane of life with furious strides that brook no brakes, won’t you pause a moment to grab a grain of scriptural truth embedded herein ? (click on hypertext in the Day’s Reading for reference verse)

No obligations! You are ofcourse perfectly at liberty to skip these Readings altogether. Should that be your choice,  go ahead – save 30 seconds!

Am I my brother’s keeper?

This trenchant reply from Cain (second name: “Insolence”) takes the cake for rude responses. Imagine speaking to God in this fashion in a patently mendacious manner so soon after you murdered your brother ! How easily we assume that we can hoodwink God?

Once sin entered the world through disobedience, it doesn’t take long for it to manifest its more virulent forms such as murder and fakery.

Remember, God is omniscient!
