Spoken like a queen! In the face of a genocidal plot by Haman, Esther gathers herself and prepares to do the one thing that can possibly save her people, and herself. If the king does not countenance her or if her appeal fails, death is certain. But Esther is not afraid. Though she sought a rogation, she is very much alive to the fact that however much we fast, we cannot presume upon God’s will .
Reality check. Are we prepared to boldly champion a worthy cause when we are in a position of influence? Or do we shrink in fear?
