Saul goes on a bio-break!
Had David been the vengeful type, this would have been the last call of nature for Saul. It was easy enough for David to finish off Saul whilst the latter was intent on his business. Indeed David was able to approach Saul undetected and cut off a piece of his robe!
It would appear that even the potty break was engineered by God to teach Saul a lesson. Though he was cut to the quick and made an immortal statement saying“you are more righteous than I”, it is sad that Saul never really gave up his pursuit of David.
