Synagogue of Satan
Even the Church in Philadelphia which received a rare commendation from the Spirit for obeying the Word and not denying God’s name, had its share of rebels within – the Synagogue of Satan! The alliteration is attractive but the reality is loathsome! So, it is heartening to note God’s promise to this Church that they will be brought to heel.
The message ends with the assurance that this persevering Church will be spared the hour of trial that will afflict the whole world; and the exhortation to hold fast what it has.
Let no one take your crown!
