Is there no balm in Gilead?

This is God’s plaintive cry through the mouth of His mourning prophet Jeremiah. If the wound of the children of Israel is incurable, and their injury beyond healing, it is only something they have brought upon themselves because of their “great guilt and many sins”. The only solution of course is Jesus Christ who will “save His people from their sins.”

” There is a fountain filled with blood, drawn from Immanuel’s veins; and sinners, plunged beneath that flood, lose all their guilty stains.

Christ is the answer!
