Even as you hit the fast lane of life with furious strides that brook no brakes, won’t you pause a moment to grab a grain of scriptural truth embedded herein ? (click on hypertext in the Day’s Reading for reference verse)

No obligations! You are of course perfectly at liberty to skip these Readings altogether. Should that be your choice,  go ahead – save 30 seconds!

God bless

Don’t jump to conclusions

This is rather severe. Moses, called the servant of God umpteen times, a man who was God’s own spokesman for all of 40 years, silenced in one angry burst from God! And what was the provocation? He had pleaded with God in all earnestness to let him cross over Jordan and step into the promised land. A sincere prayer, combined with elements of praise and supplication answered – in the negative!! But God did make arrangements for His servant to see the land.

Were it in our power to influence God, no doubt we would have interceded on behalf of Moses – the meekest of all men – the peerless leader of over two million people. But God’s mind was made up and I guess Moses already knew that.

The answer may be in the negative, but it is couched in grace!
