Rock of ages!
One of the things we need to bear in mind is the immutability of God. This characteristic of God’s is stated all over the Bible; this verse from the book of Isaiah is an excellent example. Elsewhere talking about Jesus Christ, the scriptures say, “He is the same yesterday, today and forever”. This is something our finite minds cannot readily comprehend.
Since we are so used to fickleness, breach of trust and broken promises in our lives, it comes as a surprise to us that God is different. And He is dependable.
He is a covenant keeping God!
