As good as her word!

Here is a remarkable young woman. All that Abraham’s servant said to her was ” Please give me a little water from your jar.” Maybe it was God’s spirit stirring within her or may be it was her innate goodness of heart, not only did Rebekah give him water to drink but offered to satisfy the thirst of his camels. Now, this is no easy task. There were ten camels in all and each one drinks about 200 L. So we are talking about a volume of about 2000 L. Taking an average of 100 L to a jar, this means Rebekah had to draw no less than 20 times! Phew!!

What she offered, she also performed. Many people talk, but when it comes to the walk, they are found wanting. Remember Peter’s empty boast, ‘Even if it may be necessary for me to die with thee, I will not deny thee”

When ‘push’ comes to ‘shove’, will you still hold on?
