Even as you hit the fast lane of life with furious strides that brook no brakes, won’t you pause a moment to grab a grain of scriptural truth embedded herein ? (click on hypertext in the Day’s Reading for reference verse)
No obligations! You are of course perfectly at liberty to skip these Readings altogether. Should that be your choice, go ahead – save 30 seconds!
God bless!

TINA in God’s ministry!
Some of God’s children suffer from the TINA (There Is No Alternative) syndrome. Take Elijah for example. In a fit of exasperation, he tells God, there is no one else left. What about Esther? In 1 Kings 19:14 Her uncle Mordecai makes it plain to her that if she kept quiet “at such a time as this” “relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place”.
It is an honour to be singled out by God to carry out His purposes on earth. But don’t think you are indispensable. Remember Jesus telling the Pharisees that “if they (the disciples) keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” You cannot limit God.
You are not the only pebble in the pouch!
TINA Syndrome! Hearing it for the first time. What I most like about your “jottings” is the unconventional approach towards scripture.
Very relevant in these times.
I liked the TINA acronym!
