The stratagem of a sister!

Moses was born in troubled times. For the edict at that time was that Hebrew male babies should be thrown into the Nile. But God had an eye on baby Moses, having predesignated him for a deliverance ministry later in life. Two pairs of human eyes were also trained on him; ” his sister stood at a distance to see what would happen to him.” And Pharaoh’s daughter saw the basket (in which Moses was placed) among the reeds.

It is at this point that divine wisdom descended on Miriam. Speaking inspired words to the princess, she managed to get her own mother – and the child’s – to nurse Moses. What is more, the mother would get paid to bring up her own child!

Attagirl Miriam! What’s your part in God’s plan?
