Day 304*: Even if a fox…..ha!ha!ha!

  (credit: Varsha Salome)

Even as you hit the fast lane of life with furious strides that brook no brakes, won’t you pause a moment to grab a grain of scriptural truth embedded herein ? (click on hypertext in the Day’s Reading for reference verse)

No obligations! You are of course perfectly at liberty to skip these Readings altogether. Should that be your choice, go ahead – save 30 seconds!

God bless!

Even if a fox…..ha!ha!ha!

Any time you are engaged in the work of God, three people are bound to show up: Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite and Geshem the Arab. They are there not to lend a hand, not to shoulder the load. Their mission in life is to discourage people building the kingdom of God, deride them and ” laugh them to scorn”. Here Tobiah is bending over with uncontrolled mirth as he cracks a silly joke.

As night follows day, opposition is sure to come when you start building the walls of your Jerusalem. Nehemiah called upon God, yes, but he also ensured that every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.

“Onward Christian soldiers”!
