His father…a carpenter!

One of the things we do to people we do not like is to reduce them to the lowest common denominator. So it is that in the town of Nazareth, Jesus’s home, people could not accept pearls of divine wisdom flowing from His mouth. To them He was the boy next door. No big deal. Perfect circumstances for the proverb spoken by our Lord: “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home.”

Had the people of Nazareth paid attention to His words and put their faith in Him instead of focusing on His bio-data, they would have seen many miracles.

Carpenter? May be. But He is Christ!
