Daniel was a remarkable guy. Coming to Babylon as a captive in his teens, he became the model for worshipers of Jehovah in foreign lands who practised different faiths. And here we see him up against a group of leaders, jealous of his rise in the kingdom.
But Daniel was unmoved. He was not about to change his worship practices even on pain of death.

20 Dec. 2023, setting 1 January as Day 1
We are comfortable in worshipping in churches, but scared even to post a message in social media upholding Christ for fear of upsetting those who don’t know the true God. We surely lack Daniel’s courage…
Courage Quotient! That’s a good one! Increasingly in this world of turmoil and conflict, one is called upon to Stick to his Principles and Stand Up for himself. It is a searching self examination, which many people dread to undertake?
Well said, Ramkumar.
Yes, Daniel was quite extraordinary!
