Many times we forget that God has assigned man a role to play in the implementation of divine plans. As an intelligent and cognitive being in God’s creation, he is to volitionally cooperate with God in order to realize a blessing He has already granted. It is sad when people fail to carry out their responsibility and expect God to do everything. The instances of Manna falling from heaven or the raven bringing meat – to say nothing about the immaculate conception of Mary – are but rare occurrences that give a glimpse of the power of God.
More often than not, we have to work and earn, to put food on the table. And if we want to see some results in line with the will of God, we’d better get our act together!
Don’t just pray. Perform!
