Admirable, but..
The letter from Christ to the angel of the church at Ephesus begins with fulsome praise for all its plus points: good work, hard labour, patient endurance, sound judgment, long suffering. Just as Ephesus begins to glow with suffused pride at the commendation, comes the complaint: “You have lost the first love”.
Yes, your projects and programmes and presentations and all that you do for the Lord are all recognized but there is something missing. You are not quite what you were: examine if you’ve slipped in Bible reading, meditating, basking in mutual love with the Lord.
