I’ve found my lost sheep!

Matthew and Luke have recorded Jesus’s parable of the lone lost sheep out of one hundred that set out for pasture. There is great rejoicing when it is found and the hundred are together again. This immediately begs the question: which one is that stupid sheep (a kind of ‘first among equals’ considering all sheep are said to be stupid!) that caused all that trauma?

The answer comes to us from Isaiah. “All we like sheep have gone astray, every one turning to his own way”.

Watch out, anyone of us could be AWOL!
