What is Truth?
As a political appointee in the Roman empire, Pilate was well acquainted with chicanery, skullduggery and sophism practised by the Jewish leaders. So much so that he had developed a sarcastic and cynical view of Truth. So, having raised the right question to Jesus, he did not wait for the answer.
Many there be who when confronted by the truth fail to recognize it because of an attitudinal problem.
Jesus says I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.
