Jesus stood up to welcome him!
This is an incredibly rare honour not accorded to any other man. There are several references in the Bible to Jesus sitting on the right hand of God but we see Him standing up as Stephen’s lacerating testimony reaches a climax, presumably to receive him as he dies a martyr’s death.
It takes a man full of faith, wisdom and the Holy Spirit to rattle the foundations of the kingdom of Beelzebub.
