Eyes on the boat!
If you’ve been an oarsman in a coxed racing boat, you would be familiar with the above rhythmic chant of the coxswain as he/she tries to arrest your wandering eyes and refocus them on the job at hand – “take her home” and fast!
We hear a similar cry from the writer of the epistle to the Hebrews concerning our spiritual race: ” Look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith”
“Turn your eyes upon Jesus”!
