For God’s sake, blush!

God’s people have become so accustomed to engaging in wickedness and abominable practices that they have become incapable of showing remorse. This is the danger of wallowing in a sewer and getting used to it, nay even enjoying the filth. This verse suggests that if our face so much as betrays that we are ashamed of our misdeeds, there is hope for us to escape punishment.

Where do we stand in God’s sight? Are we a gutter case? Do we put ourselves beyond the pale of redemption? Can’t we hear God’s loving call to repent and return?

” Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?”
