Enter the (effete) dragon!
There is little point in entering into meaningless Memoranda of Understanding that are not worth the paper they are written on. Yet governments the world over, specially the weak ones, make a great show of such grand alliances. Thus it is that Judah entered into a treaty with Egypt and here we see God tearing into that.
We will do well to examine whether our alliances are God directed or whether they are merely a product of our carnal wisdom and human logic.
