Building the tower of Babel

Not many generations after Noah, the people are back again at their favourite activity; doing their own thing without any thought of God. Interpersonal communication flowed unimpeded as they all spoke one language. Reveling in the reality of one nation – one language scenario, they reckoned they can do anything together, such as building a tower that reaches up to heaven and fetches them name and fame. The only problem was God was nowhere in the enterprise!

Now you can be united for good or for bad. The objective of avoiding being scattered all over the earth seems basically sound until we consider that their driving force was self-centred pride. And it’s contrary to God’s command to fill the earth.

And Pride folks, is a deadly sin!
