Even as you hit the fast lane of life with furious strides that brook no brakes, won’t you pause a moment to grab a grain of scriptural truth embedded herein ? (click on hypertext in the Day’s Reading for reference verse)

No obligations! You are of course perfectly at liberty to skip these Readings altogether. Should that be your choice,  go ahead – save 30 seconds!

Hey, do you smell nice?

Paul writes that we are (or ought to be) sweet fragrance of Christ. But some of the Christians I see around us fail to give this impression. There are those who bark like dogs, leap like leopards, or pounce like cheetahs on anything they consider unchristian. And they prowl like wolves and bore like eagles looking for anything that falls short of their exalted standards. In so doing, far from exhibiting the beauty of Jesus and drawing people unto Him, they only succeed in making Him eminently avoidable.

This of course does not mean that we ought to please everybody. We can’t, if we also remain truthful to Christian values.

Can you be agreeable without agreeing to everything?
