Even as you hit the fast lane of life with furious strides that brook no brakes, won’t you pause a moment to grab a grain of scriptural truth embedded herein ? (click on hypertext in the Day’s Reading for reference verse)

No obligations! You are of course perfectly at liberty to skip these Readings altogether. Should that be your choice,  go ahead – save 30 seconds!

No great expectations!

Sometimes people use prayer as an opiate. To deaden their senses as they mechanically gather together, ostensibly for a cause but with little expectation that their prayers would result in anything. The high voltage group that gathered in the house of Mary the mother of Mark, is a case in point. They seem to have been so carried away by their own rogatory fervour, that paradoxically they quite forgot their single point agenda!

How do we pray? Do we let the elements of prayer take precedence over the purpose of prayer?

Are you looking for answers when you pray?
