Fence eating the crop!
The Bible has much to say about shepherds and pastors, a lot of it cautionary and oftentimes condemnatory. And here in the book of Jeremiah, God is quite severe in His indictment. This of course places a heavy responsibility on those leading the flock. Yet we hear of pastors who are lackadaisical at best and of those who are downright predatory at worst. Pastors who feather their nests with impunity and pastors who take advantage of the innocence and gullibility of people in their charge.
Pastors who feed itching ears with prosperity gospel and pastors who specialize in socio-economic themes to the exclusion of the gospel truth.
Pastors, preach the Word….keep watch!
