Satan is alive and well!
There are situations when we
We’ve heard it said time and again that David was a “man after God’s own heart”. Now Satan doesn’t like that phrase. Here we see him rising up against Israel and inciting David to take a census of Israel. This shows that even a guy like David, who writes about abiding under the shadow of the Almighty can be inveigled by the devil; at any time of his choosing!
This should put us on our guard. Not for nothing does Peter cautions us:” Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour”.
If only David had listened to Joab!
