The beauty of heterogeneity!

When it comes to building a temple for the Lord, David chooses the very best of materials. There is gold, there is silver, there is brass, there is iron, there is wood and there is a variety of precious stones. So it is in the building of the kingdom of God made up by His people. One common denominator is that all of them have been “washed in the blood of the Lamb”. But they are not identical pieces coming out of a single die.

If variety is the spice of life, it is so with the kingdom of God as well. Race and language aside, there is a tremendous heterogeneous mix and it needs to be so, not only to fulfill the multifarious functions but also to paint a rainbow of colour (not to be confused with a certain disagreeable modern movement)

Are you different? God wants you “just as you are”!
