Concealed in His quiver
The Lord makes much of His children. First of all they are ” fearfully and wonderfully” made. He calls them from the womb by name. The righteous are frequently likened to shining stars and precious jewels. Our sons are referred to as plants grown up in their youth and our daughters as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace: Here in this passage different similes are used. Sharpened sword, polished arrow…concealed in His quiver…wow, what honour, what noble purpose!
This is beyond our comprehension. Why would the Lord of lords, King of kings, creator of the universe have any use for me? He has a zillion angels ready to do His bidding, right?
Why me?
