The Harvest Festival

Because of the original sin, God sent Adam and Eve out of the garden of Eden where everything grew naturally. Pronouncing His judgment, he consigned Adam to a life of hard work in tilling the ground and growing food for their needs. But there are many verses afterwards that tell us that God was merciful and granted His children “abundant prosperity-in the fruit of their womb, the young of their livestock and the crops of their ground.”

God also instituted the Festival of Harvest. And elsewhere in the Bible He promised that ” your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine” when you “honour the LORD with your wealth, and with the first fruits of all your crops.”

Give thanks to the Lord!
