Thanks, but no thanks Naomi!
This is the problem with some godly people. They begin to see God starting to work in their lives; but they have no patience. In their hurry to see the goodness of the Lord, they lose sight of His perfect timing. They want things fast-forwarded, the raw fruit rapidly ripened, the blessing hastened! And they reckon God could do with their assistance and take matters into their own hands.
Naomi made that mistake when she sent Ruth all powdered and perfumed to go sleep next to Boaz in the dead of the night. But for Boaz’s righteousness there would have been a juicy scandal in the Bethlehem newspapers the next day.
Don’t run ahead of God!
