Who needs a bridge?

Those who have traveled to Jordan and Israel in recent years cross the river Jordan using the King Hussain bridge, which also marks the border between the two nations. But no such infrastructure was available to Joshua, leading about two million Israelites. To be sure, Jordan is not a particularly wide river nor is it deep everywhere; one can wade across when the flow is thin. But everything changes when the river is in spate.

And when the children of Israel arrived at its banks, the river was in spate. But Joshua displayed no anxiety at all about the huge problem in front of him. He knew that God was in charge of the crossing.

Now, what’s your problem?
