Lord…..my headache!
There are all sorts of prayers being made by all sorts of people. Here in this portion of scripture we read of a man bringing a property dispute to Jesus; and Jesus gives him a fitting reply. Not that you shouldn’t pray about things important to you personally. But our priority should be things of God. This is made abundantly clear in the Lord’s Prayer. Right up there is the plea, “Thy Kingdom come”.
Instead if we keep pushing forward our petty aches and ailments, we aren’t quite “seeking things above”, are we? Well does the Lord say, ” But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
What are you praying for?
