Even as you hit the fast lane of life with furious strides that brook no brakes, won’t you pause a moment to grab a grain of scriptural truth embedded herein ? (click on hypertext in the Day’s Reading for reference verse)

No obligations! You are of course perfectly at liberty to skip these Readings altogether. Should that be your choice, go ahead – save 30 seconds!

Why the Dickens are you screaming?

People get caught up in all kinds of causes – some good, some bad, some ‘don’t knows’! Consider Paul’s plight in Ephesus, in the narrative found in Acts 19. In the riot kindled by the craftsman Demetrius, “the assembly was in confusion: Some were shouting one thing, some another. Most of the people did not even know why they were there.” But that did not stop them from joining the crowd and baying for Paul’s blood. Yes, zeal without knowledge is a runaway horse!

The Bible puts it very nicely (Berean Study Bible and others). The Contemporary English Version gives it more plainly: ” Willingness and stupidity don’t go well together”.

Zeal without knowledge is frenzy (விவேகமற்ற வைராக்கியம், வெறி)!
