Lulled by complacency
In these times, complacency is easily illustrated by the attitude of some governments and some people groups towards the spread of Novel Corona virus*. It is a Chinese phenomenon they say, and we are so far removed! Prophet Zephaniah talks about a similar occasion, only scarier, in the very first chapter of his book – “Judgment on the Whole Earth in the Day of the Lord”.
But what do people do? They are settled on their lees and down play the danger. Like Nero, they play the fiddle while Rome burns.
This too will pass, yes, but not before it wreaks havoc!
