Here a snake, there a snake!
Make no mistake. The devil has power. Lots of it. It is not for nothing that Peter writes “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour”. And you know very well what he did to Job. So, it should not surprise us that the magicians and sorcerers of Egypt were able to replicate the miracle of Aaron’s staff with their own staffs.
Hold on! Don’t walk away with the impression that God is no big deal. That is not the end of the story. Read Exodus chapter 7 verse 12 till the end.
