Three in One!
We make much of our tradition of hospitality here in South India. The writer to the Hebrews also recommends it:” Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it”. The reference goes right back to the 18th chapter of Genesis where Abraham receives three visitors at his tent in Mamre.
If you go through this chapter with a fine tooth comb, you will find that grammar goes for a six several times. The way they are addressed, it is difficult to say whether they are three men or one Lord. The singular and the plural take turns to describe one entity in three persons.
Have you encountered the triune God?
