Burn the midnight oil!
I’m a little concerned that the overall title to these daily readings, i.e. “He that runneth” should not leave you with the idea that it is enough to catch the truth while you are running frenetically in the fast lane of life. The perfect foil for this notion is found in Paul’s instruction to his protege, Timothy (KJV).
The key word of course is “study”. Don’t skim the Word. Don’t just glance at it. Don’t cherry pick. Take time to chew, meditate.
Savour it, it’s the Truth!
