Even as you hit the fast lane of life with furious strides that brook no brakes, won’t you pause a moment to grab a grain of scriptural truth embedded herein ? (click on hypertext in the Day’s Reading for reference verse)
No obligations! You are of course perfectly at liberty to skip these Readings altogether. Should that be your choice, go ahead – save 30 seconds!

Armchair travelogue?
Just like “you can’t go to heaven in an old Ford car”, you can’t go to heaven in an easy chair either. Paul calls it a race. If a race, then we are expected to run. And if we are to run, then we ought to be fit. Spiritually fit. This is the crux of his homily to the Corinthians.
Some of us labour (isn’t there a lighter word?) under the misapprehension that once we are saved, that’s pretty much it. We don’t like the bit that we ought to “work out our salvation with fear and trembling.”

29 Nov. setting 1 January as Day 1
Judah,
At BSF we are also taught that Salvation is God’s work from start to finish and not on our obedience.
Our righteousness is filthy rags is it not.
Also like most biblical truth about salvation is paradoxical !!!
Thanks Judah.
Very meaningful.
Thanks to you for taking the trouble to comment!
