Even as you hit the fast lane of life with furious strides that brook no brakes, won’t you pause a moment to grab a grain of scriptural truth embedded herein ? (click on hypertext in the Day’s Reading for reference verse)
No obligations! You are of course perfectly at liberty to skip these Readings altogether. Should that be your choice, go ahead – save 30 seconds!

Everything is gone!

The grief-stricken strokes of Horatio Spafford’s pen melt the heart whenever you hear the hymn “It is well with my soul”. Soon after losing all his wealth, he lost all four of his daughters in a tragic shipwreck. “It is well” was born out of unbearable pain. This is not a song your average youth would include in the ‘Praise & Worship’.

I guess somewhere in the middle of this huge personal tragedy, Spafford drew inspiration from  Habakkuk.
