Even as you hit the fast lane of life with furious strides that brook no brakes, won’t you pause a moment to grab a grain of scriptural truth embedded herein ? (click on hypertext in the Day’s Reading for reference verse)
No obligations! You are of course perfectly at liberty to skip these Readings altogether. Should that be your choice, go ahead – save 30 seconds!

Burnout under a bushel?

God gives us gifts so that we may use them for the benefit of others and for the glory of God – not for self-aggrandizement. Equally, we are not to pretend as though we are not gifted. Nor are we to immerse ourselves in self-pity comparing ourselves with others, perceived as recipients of greater gifts.

The whole idea is to shine, becoming smaller and smaller in the process, if need be, and dispel the darkness around us.

“I’ll be a sunbeam for Him”!
