Day 41*: He is the Lord!

  (credit: Varsha Salome)

Even as you hit the fast lane of life with furious strides that brook no brakes, won’t you pause a moment to grab a grain of scriptural truth embedded herein?

No obligations! You are ofcourse perfectly at liberty to skip these Readings altogether. Should that be your choice,  go ahead – save 30 seconds!

God bless

He is the Lord!

Whatever the failings of Eli as the High Priest at Shiloh – and there were many – you cannot fault him on one count: his calm, quiet and composed acceptance of the will of God. Here was little Samuel disclosing everything the Lord had told him, including the part about  the judgment which was to fall upon Eli and his family; Eli doesn’t rave and rant.

I guess this is what is termed equanimity. And Eli exhibited that in ample measure.

How do you react to the will of God in your life, particularly when it is difficult to digest?
