Saul consults a Medium
It doesn’t say much for our Christian heritage or beliefs that we have to look to someone outside God for life’s directions. Frequently we come across Christians running hither and thither in search of some soothsayer or a self-appointed prophet for a message of comfort, instead of turning to Jesus. How sad!
When we are weary and heavy-laden, we can simply do no better than follow Jesus’s categorical call to “come to me”.
