He looked this way and that
How often do we do this before running a red light? Whenever we look this way and that, it is generally a precursor to some wrong doing. In taking this elementary precaution, we merrily forget there is One Who looks down from above.
We read that the Hebrew slave engaged in this maneuvre before slaying the offending Egyptian; but it is Hagar who opens our eyes to the third dimension and sublimates the truth.
