Have you considered My servant Job?
“You bet I have” replies Satan. He appears before the Lord along with the sons of God (!) ; and he has an agenda . It is his particular mission to patrol the godly with a view to noting their foibles and failures. He would then present their report card to God with barely suppressed mirth. In the case of Job however, he is thwarted.
God is actually showing off Job here much to the devil’s chagrin; obviously the latter is not amused.
Do you live in such a way that you could be a glittering trophy in God’s hands?
