Jesus watched
This is where Ananias and Sapphira made a grave error; they simply assumed that nobody knew the sale price of their land. The Registrar may turn a blind eye to the numbers on the document for a price, but the Bible is very clear that Jesus “looked up and saw”.
The context may be somewhat different, but it scarcely robs the message of its potency. Jesus knows. Is there anything you are trying to hide from Jesus?
It is an exercise in futility!
