Shut up before the Lord!
Time and again we are told to sit quietly in God’s presence. No need to open our mouth. “He knows our thoughts before we think them. Even before we say a word He knows it”. So the belief that we shall be heard for our “much speaking” is a downright fallacy.
So, what are we to do? Reflect on how great God is. Quietly adore Him, silently praise Him for what He is.
“Be still and know that He is God”
