You Israelites refused to trust the Lord
This was God’s complaint against Israelites. He went before them looking for the best places to camp, guided them with a pillar of fire by night and a pillar of cloud by day. He provided them with food and water. He fought their battles. Why, He parted the Red Sea for them to pass! In spite of everything, Israel chose to believe the bad news rather than put their trust in the promises of God.
There clearly was a choice between an encouraging report and a discouraging report. And negativism wins at the end of the day. Why is it that our faith nurtured through countless instances of God’s faithfulness, fails in the face of pessimistic opinions of men?
This should really be a no-brainer but isn’t it funny (and sad) that we push God aside at decisive moments and put men on the pedestal?
World has trained us to be led by our eye balls. Church has done pathetic work to let our eyes of understanding of HIM be opened in all times. If you BELIEVE you WILL see the glory of God is the only answer
