Abraham begat Isaac
Thus begins the genealogy of Jesus Christ. This is not a meaningless list of names; behind each name was a flesh and blood person some of whose stories we know and some we don’t. And there are some notable flag-posts like Judah, Ruth and David whose footprints in the sands of time still continue to impact us.
Forty two generations of forefathers to Jesus Christ! And a definite plan that purposefully winds through some significant names.
