You are one big ZERO!
God comes down pretty heavily on idols in this passage. He is equally severe on those who apotheosize them and tars them with the same brush: disgusting, abominable, detestable. Given these views concerning idols and their worshipers, it is amazing that God is even calling for a presentation of their case!
On what are we putting our hope? The Holy One of Israel or in some worthless man made object?
Without God, we are nothing!
