Amul doodle pays heartfelt tribute to creator Sylvester daCunha.
The official Twitter profile of Amul co-op shared a doodle for Sylvester daCunha with the caption, “#Amul Topical: Tribute to the advertising legend, creator of the Amul girl”. The text inside the doodle read, “Your ideas were utterly butterly delicious”.
Dairy brand Amul has shared a heartfelt doodle to pay tribute to Sylvester daCunha, the creator of the iconic ‘Amul Girl’. The man behind the Amul Girl ‘utterly butterly’ campaign, Sylvester daCunha, passed away on Tuesday, June 20.

The Amul ad campaign was launched in 1966 after it was designed by Sylvester daCunha, who was the then Managing Director of the advertising agency ASP, and its art director, Eustace Fernandes.
The Amul girl mascot first debuted on a few lamp-post boards in Mumbai with the line, “Give us this day our daily bread: with Amul butter”.
